Hello Medina Tiger Families!

We know that this summer may look very different from any other we’ve had before, and many of us are having to get creative about how to fill our kids’ time. Creating a home library full of a variety of books provides an easy way for your student to spend free time and develop their reading skills.

This year, Scholastic is offering an Online Book Fair, in which all online book purchases totaling $25 or more are shipped directly to you, FREE OF CHARGE. An added bonus of purchasing through our online fair is that Scholastic is giving back 25% of sales in Scholastic Dollars. These dollars will be divided between our K-5 teachers to shop with Scholastic in order to replenish their classroom libraries and be ready to go when school resumes in person.

Please click on this link to go directly to our fair.  https://www.scholastic.com/bf/medina

Thank you,

Rebecca Johnston and Shari Kauls, Book Fair Co-Chairs

Helping Hands

Bellevue School District - Mask Drive

We need your help! The Bellevue School District is thankful for all of the support we have received from the community since the beginning of the pandemic. Right now, we are in need of additional masks to protect students, teachers, staff and the community. For anyone who can make masks, we need them and would appreciate anyone who can lend their talents to this effort.

Because the BSD community comes in all shapes and sizes, so too will the masks we need. Whatever mask individuals are able to make is welcome and appreciated! We will gladly accept ties, elastic, pockets, etc. However, we cannot accept masks with raw edges, sew-free masks (those are a great option for home) or masks with any images or wording about drugs, alcohol, religious symbols, etc. – the designs should be appropriate for a school setting. We cannot accept masks with ties or elastic longer than 38 inches. For more info go to https://bsd405.org/2020/05/bsd-needs-5000-masks/

If you need any support - mental, physical, food or technology - please don't hesitate to reach out to me, the Bellevue Schools Foundation, or the Bellevue School District. There are services here to help us all through this COVID-19 crisis and beyond.
